The standing seam metal roof is one of the most exciting breakthroughs in roofing technology in the last 25 years. K-Con has the expertise and experience to design a replacement for that leaking flat roof and offer a maintenance-free roof for 20 years and beyond. An engineered sub-framing system would be installed over the old built-up roof creating the slope with metal roof panels fastened to the sub-framing by concealed fastener clips. The new roof can be fitted with insulation to improve the building’s energy efficiency from installation. The retrofit metal roof will be weathertight as water runs off the newly created slope, and the concealed fasteners reduce the panel penetration. The retrofit roof will have superior durability due to metal panel steel and the concealed fastener’s ability to resist the damaging effects of thermal movement. Kynar panels can be used that will provide enhanced performance, color retention, and durability.
